Nighttime Feeds

I love that our nighttime milk is different and has hormones in it like melatonin and tryptophan that are beneficial for brain development and for helping to set sleep cycles. When it comes to nighttime breastfeeding, many times it is not the behavior that is upsetting, but how we view it (a problem vs developmentally normal). For some moms, knowing that those nighttime feeds are increasing brain development won’t change baby’s behavior, but may change how we feel about the behavior.
